George Steiner said in Lessons of the Masters (2011) that for western culture teaching and learning is the same as building community based on communication. From this view point, we can say that this current issue of Análisis, Colombian Magazine of Humanities, is the result of a series of learning and teaching acts which we hope to contribute to consolidate an interested community in understanding and researching the ways how the cyberspace has been dwelled. Now, in few times we expect a community to project to the world with one voice as a proof of coordination and commitment with a specifi cause. However, this is not the case. On the contrary, this journal issue makes evident the features which are part of the academic communities in the twenty fist century. It is a product resulting from a net composed by groups and individuals which contribute with a high level of diversities of nationalities, geographic location, professional experiences, theoretical and methodological approaches, and who are open to exchange ideas and to work in order to achieve common objectives.
