Economy of Peace
Abstract (en)
In the near future, a new economic theory based on recent events must be put into practice: the economy of peace. The economic theory of peace proposes that economic interdependence promotes peace and prevents conflicts. Economic interdependence is conducive to peace because economic cooperation between private and public actors can generate national interest in various issues, including economic. Usually, the implementation of the economy of peace according to its different objectives involves dividing it into two fundamental levels: one macro and the other micro. At the macro level, the peace economy implies a series of structural reforms to ensure an "enabling environment" for the construction of peace, including low inflation and low budget deficits. At the micro level, the development of private enterprise is a fundamental strategy that must be used as an element to promote the resolution of conflicts through collective action.Abstract (es)
