Abstract (en)
In this work, the work of Innocent III De contemptu mundi sive De miseria humanae conditionis is presented in its context, its argument is presented, and its relevance is evaluated. It is proposed that the assertions, apart from the philosophical and theological assumptions of a Christian nature, have the success of being clear, precise, to the point of being able to consider them independently and put them in dialogue with other positions or positions. Likewise, it is noted that an ethic of mercy would emerge from the verification of human misery.

En este trabajo se expone, en su contexto, la obra de Inocencio III De contemptu mundi sive De miseria humanae conditionis, se presenta su argumento y se evalúa su actualidad. Se propone que los asertos, al margen de los presupuestos filosóficos y teológicos de cuño cristiano, tienen el acierto de ser claros, precisos, al punto de poder considerarlos de manera independiente y ponerlos en diálogo con otras posiciones o posturas. Asimismo, se hace notar que de la constatación de la miseria humana se desprendería una ética de la misericordia.
