The Albertus Magnus Journal is affiliated with the School of Theology at Santo Tomás University. It serves as a forum for scientific research and the promotion of theological and interdisciplinary knowledge, through which the Dominican friars and the School of Theology at Santo Tomás University seek to establish a dialogue with researchers and academic communities to share advances in the development of the discipline of theology.

The journal publishes original articles in the fields of theology and related disciplines from an interdisciplinary perspective. It accepts articles resulting from official institutional research projects that draw upon the sources of theology—Sacred Scripture, ecclesial tradition, and interdisciplinary dialogue with fields related to theology. It places special emphasis on scientific rigor, respect for diversity, innovation in research, plurality in the expression of ideas, and respect for and responsibility toward the theological academy.
