Abstract (en)
El presente número monográfico está atravesado no solamente por la idea de memoria, sino también por el lugar o los lugares desde donde se piensa el tema. Por eso, situar el cuestionar filosófico en el territorio latinoamericano obliga a que interroguemos los dispositivos de nuestra modernidad. El pensar ha estado atravesado por el colonialismo y la dependencia, de allí que desde la memoria pensemos una modernidad otra Fue el sujeto blanco, cristiano y ciudadano burgués de la Ilustración del siglo XVIII el que elaboró la filosofía universalista del progreso. En el caso latinoamericano hemos tenido cinco siglos en los que las inmensas mayorías indígenas y negras fueron víctimas de la exclusión y del olvido.
