Abstract (en)

En el Siglo de las luces —el que se autodenominó Ilustración— devino una "imagen" sobre la educación que se ha conservado durante mucho tiempo. Esta efigie está fundada en las ideas modernas de desarrollo y progreso y en la relación elemental y fundamental que se estableció entre la educación y la política a causa de estas ideas. Este texto muestra el devenir de esta representación sobre la educación en algunos pensadores de Iberoamérica desde el siglo XVIII hasta inicios del siglo XX.
