Objective: to highlight the most important challenges of the transition from face-to-face education to remote education, as well as the way in which they were addressed, from their analysis in the teaching of renewable energies at the higher education level. Methodology: the research approach is qualitative, identified in a two-way dynamic reflection, between the facts and their interpretation. Likewise, the evidence provided is symbolic verbal, in the form of images or audiovisual. Likewise, the research impacted a total of 90 students, throughout a year of research. Results: four elements and six challenges stand out, which were addressed through different didactic strategies. Conclusion: these challenges are not limited to the teaching of renewable energies, but are transversal to any subject that wants to be taught; the way in which they were approached positively impacts the teaching-learning process.
