Innovación tecnológica en educación: una revisión de literatura sobre los MOOC desde la perspectiva docente

Resumen

Los MOOC corresponden a una innovación educativa que ha generado un importante interés académico en los últimos años, debido a sus posibilidades de acceso y democratización del conocimiento. No obstante, la mayor parte de la literatura relacionada con los MOOC se aborda desde la perspectiva de los estudiantes, por lo que el análisis del rol y las implicaciones del docente en los procesos de enseñanzaaprendizaje en este tipo de entornos se identifica como un vacío en la literatura actual. De acuerdo con lo anterior, el presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la literatura disponible sobre los MOOC desde la perspectiva del instructor. Para tal fin se realiza una revisión sistemática a partir de la base de datos Scopus. Los resultados evidencian cuatro categorías temáticas en la literatura sobre los MOOC desde la perspectiva del docente: en primer lugar, los MOOC como estrategia de formación docente, en segundo lugar, las percepciones de los profesores en este tipo de cursos, en tercer lugar, el rol docente en el diseño y desarrollo de cursos, en cuarto lugar, las motivaciones y los desafíos para la enseñanza en este tipo de entornos. En las conclusiones se destaca la necesidad de seguir profundizando en rol de los docentes en la formación mediante MOOC. Asimismo, se plantea la necesidad de avanzar en la sistematización de las competencias docentes que podrían potenciarse a partir del uso de MOOC en el ámbito educativo.
