Antecedentes: Las mujeres en comparación con los hombres han realizado mayoritariamente las actividades relacionadas con el trabajo de cuidados. Por tal motivo, el presente artículo tiene como propósito dimensionar las transformaciones del este trabajo durante la pandemia del coronavirus a partir de una revisión de literatura científica. Métodos: Este objetivo es desarrollado mediante la sistematización de los hallazgos de 64 investigaciones que, desde las ciencias sociales y los estudios de las mujeres, abordan el trabajo de cuidados durante la pandemia del COVID-19. Resultados: Las labores domésticas son asignadas a las mujeres por naturaleza propia, independientemente del país al que pertenezcan. Conclusiones: La investigación concluye que la inequidad en la distribución del trabajo de cuidados durante la crisis es mayor para las mujeres que para los hombres por relaciones de poder de género, raza y clase.

Background: Women, compared to men, have been more involved in caregiving activities than men. For this reason, the purpose of this article is to assess the transformations in care work during the coronavirus pandemic based on a review of the scientific literature. Methods: This objective is developed by systematizing the findings of 64 research studies that, from the social sciences and women's studies, address care work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Results: Housework is assigned to women by its very nature, irrespective of the country to which they belong. Conclusions: The research concludes that inequity in the distribution of care work during the crisis is greater for women than for men because of gender, race and class power relations.

Antecedentes: As mulheres, em comparação com os homens, têm estado mais envolvidas em atividades de prestação de cuidados do que os homens. Por esta razão, o objetivo deste artigo é avaliar as transformações no trabalho de cuidados durante a pandemia do coronavírus, com base numa revisão da literatura científica. Métodos: Este objetivo é desenvolvido através da sistematização dos resultados de 64 investigações que, a partir das ciências sociais e dos estudos sobre as mulheres, abordam o trabalho de cuidado durante a pandemia da COVID-19. Resultados: O trabalho doméstico é atribuído às mulheres pela sua própria natureza, independentemente do país a que pertencem. Conclusões: A investigação conclui que a desigualdade na distribuição do trabalho de cuidados durante a crise é maior para as mulheres do que para os homens devido às relações de poder de género, raça e classe.
