Resumen (es)

Este artículo presenta un estudio de tres generaciones de mujeres en Corea del Sur. Para lograr dicho objetivo, se emplea el bestseller Kim Ji Young, nacida en 1982, de Cho Nam-Joo, como un prisma para comprender la evolución de la sociedad durante el periodo de transición y asentamiento de la modernidad. El análisis sociohistórico se realizó a partir de la articulación de fuentes documentales y teorías sociales que permiten comprender las dinámicas que se presentan en las trayectorias de las mujeres. En los resultados se puede observar el proceso de fabricación de los individuos, la construcción y transformación de los sueños y aspiraciones a futuro, así como la crisis de la familia y la resignificación del trabajo a partir del anhelo por la independencia y autonomía.

This article presents a research study of three generations of women in South Korea. To achieve this goal, Cho Nam-Joo’s bestseller Kim Ji-young: Born 1982 is used as a prism for understanding the evolution of society during the period of transition and settlement of modernity. The sociohistorical analysis was carried out based on the articulation of documentary sources and social theories that allow us to understand the dynamics that took place in women’s trajectories. The results show the process of shaping individuals, the construction and transformation of dreams and aspirations for the future, as well as the crisis of the family and the resignification of work based on the desire for independence and autonomy.

Este artigo apresenta um estudo de três gerações de mulheres na Coreia do Sul. Para atingir esse objetivo, o best-seller de Cho Nam-Joo, Kim Ji Young, nascido em 1982, é usado como prisma para entender a evolução da sociedade durante o período de transição e estabelecimento da modernidade. A análise sócio-histórica foi realizada com base na articulação de fontes documentais e teorias sociais que permitem compreender a dinâmica que ocorre nas trajetórias das mulheres. Os resultados mostram o processo de fabricação dos indivíduos, a construção e transformação de sonhos e aspirações para o futuro, bem como a crise da família e a ressignificação do trabalho a partir do desejo de independência e autonomia.
