Abstract (en)
In Dreams of a Visionary Explained by Metaphysics (1766), Kant criticizes speculation in the name of experience and criticizes scientific knowledge in the name of morality. He affirms that the cause, the effect and the substance are fundamental relationships that cannot be grasped or intuited. Reason is not given the capacity to know such fundamental relations.
