Victimización y creatividad literaria: memorias del calabozo

Abstract (en)

The paper aims to investigate the innovative potential of the concept of “creativity” in Philology. Nevertheless the author-witnesses, Mauricio Rosencof and Eleuterio Fernández Huidobro –both of whom are victims of the Uruguayan military dictatorship–, reject the traditional narrative strategies in Memorias del calabozo and use the concept of creativity
in order to create a new poetics of terror. The principal narrative strategy, the leitmotiv, is creativity. Creativity is omnipresent on the level of text production as well as on the level of content and fulfills a double function: On the one hand the recourses on creative narrative forms contribute to transmit individual and collective experiences, on the other hand, creativity reveals itself as the unique strategy of survival.

El artículo se propone mostrar el potencial innovador del concepto de “creatividad” en la filología. Los autores-testigos, Mauricio Rosencof y Eleuterio Fernández Huidobro –ambos víctimas de la dictadura militar uruguaya–, se alejan de las estrategias narrativas tradicionales en Memorias del calabozo y se sirven de la creatividad para crear una nueva poética del terror. La estrategia narrativa principal, el leitmotiv, es la creatividad. Tanto a nivel de la producción literaria como a nivel del contenido, la creatividad es omnipresente. La creatividad cumple así una función doble: primero, recurrir a formas narrativas creativas ayuda a los autores a transmitir tanto experiencias individuales como colectivas; segundo, la creatividad se revela como única estrategia de supervivencia.
