For any inquiries, please contact:

Editor-in-Chief:

Manuscripts should not exceed 10,000 words or 65,000 characters, including references, notes, tables, and figures. For formatting and stylistic details, authors must follow the guidelines of the 7th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA).

Receipt of the manuscript will be acknowledged promptly, and authors will be informed of its status through the OJS platform. Final acceptance is contingent upon the incorporation of revisions suggested by peer reviewers and the Editorial Board.

Published content is freely accessible through the journal’s website:

If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the rights to print and reproduce the work in any format or medium are assigned to Universidad Santo Tomás. Reasonable requests from authors to reproduce their contributions elsewhere will be duly considered.

Only original manuscripts are accepted. Requests to withdraw a submitted manuscript must be made formally through a letter addressed to the Editor. Withdrawal will be effective only upon written confirmation from the Editor-in-Chief.

  1. Manuscript Evaluation and Acceptance

The evaluation process consists of two stages.

Initial Editorial Screening

The Editorial Team conducts a preliminary review to assess:

  • Originality of the manuscript.
  • Compliance with formal submission requirements.
  • Academic quality.
  • Relevance to the journal’s thematic scope.

Originality is verified using Turnitin and other specialized software designed to detect text generated by artificial intelligence.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts approved during the initial screening are sent to external reviewers under a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers use a standardized evaluation form addressing both:

  • Scientific criteria, including conceptual rigor and methodological soundness.
  • Formal criteria, including adherence to publication and referencing guidelines.

All stages of the review process are managed through the OJS platform. Authors may monitor the progress of their manuscript through their user account.

The peer review process typically takes three to six months.

Once a manuscript is accepted, the editorial production stage—including copyediting, typesetting, author proof review and approval, and printing—takes approximately two additional months.

The journal is under no obligation to return submitted manuscripts and will not consider manuscripts that fail to comply with these guidelines.

Acceptance of a manuscript is subject to favorable evaluations by expert reviewers. The Editorial Board reserves the right to introduce formal modifications necessary to ensure consistency with the journal’s editorial standards.

If the manuscript derives from a research project, authors must provide the following information:

  • Project title.
  • Start and end dates.
  • Executing institution(s).
  • Funding institution(s).
