Formality and Informality Concomitance Through the Cinema
Abstract (en)
A foreign language learner should be exposed to acquire the language required to interact in formal and informal situations. Colloquialisms ofer a wide spread of lexicon and expressions that are rich in culture, traditions, knowledge and distinction between a language varieties. In this way, the acquisition of a new language doesn’t concentrate only on the classroom board but also on an expansion of unlimited colloquial expressions that all varieties ofer. Therefore, a change in attitude from both, instructors and learners, should be reinforced. The challenge is not only to integrate and include colloquialisms into our classrooms but also how to help the learner have a better understanding of them. The focus of this article is establishing how ilms are an invaluable tool to achieve this purpose.

Un aprendiz de una lengua extranjera debe estar expuesto al lenguaje que se requiere para un desenvolvimiento integral tanto en situaciones formales como informales. Los coloquialismos nos ofrecen una riqueza de vocabulario y expresiones, en tanto transmiten cultura y son fuente de conocimiento y distinción entre las variedades de un lenguaje. Así, la adquisición de un nuevo lenguaje no se centra únicamente en el aprendizaje de estructuras formales, sino también en la expansión del léxico a través de las expresiones coloquiales que cada variedad ofrece. Para ello se necesita un cambio de actitud tanto del que imparte como del que recibe. El reto no solamente consiste en la inclusión de las expresiones coloquiales en nuestras aulas, sino también en cómo lograr que el estudiante adquiera una fácil comprensión de ellas. Este artículo está enfocado a establecer qué tan signiicativo y valioso es el cine para alcanzar este cometido.
