En el presente artículo se analizará tanto la puesta en forma como las axiologías que se proponen en el proyecto estético de la obra La piel del cielo, escrita por Elena Poniatowska. Esto tomando como centro el estudio de la figura del héroe allí, a partir de las conceptualizaciones logradas al respeto por el crítico literario y filósofo húngaro Georg Lukács.
A través de este trabajo no sólo se pretende ahondar en la configuración del personaje principal, a manos de la autora Poniatowska, sino además identificar el tono de esta novela y ponerlo en relación con la escritura Hispanoamericana contemporánea.
