Inter-relações diretas e indiretas entre os fatores que influenciaram o aumento do peso corporal em professores durante a covid-19: Modelagem com equações estruturais

Investigar as inter-relações entre fatores que influenciaram direta e indiretamente o aumento do peso corporal na pandemia entre professores. Inquérito epidemiológico do tipo websurvey, realizado em 2020. A variável desfecho foi o aumento do peso corporal na pandemia. Foram testadas inter-relações diretas e indiretas (mediadas pelo uso de computador). Utilizou-se a Modelagem de Equações Estruturais. Participaram do estudo 15.379 professores. A prevalência de aumento de peso foi de 58%. O aumento do peso na pandemia sofreu influência direta do sexo feminino (β=-0.083), menor renda (β=-0.001), dos mais jovens (β=-0.002), com maior medo da COVID-19 (β=0.004) e entre os que elevaram o uso de computador (β=0.010). Em relação ao efeito indireto, a modelagem indicou que praticar atividade física (β=0.0015), apresentar maior renda (β=0.0002) e maior medo da COVID-19 (β=0.00023), ser mais jovem (β=-0.00035) e possuir diagnóstico de ansiedade e depressão (β=0.00426), quando mediados pelo uso de computador, agiram no aumento do peso corporal. O aumento de peso durante a pandemia foi bastante prevalente entre professores e sofreu influência de variáveis sociodemográficas, medo da COVID-19 e do aumento do tempo de uso de computador.

Resumen (en)

To investigate the interrelationship between factors that directly or indirectly influenced the increase of body weight among teachers in the pandemic. Epidemiological survey of the websurvey type, carried out in 2020. The outcome variable was the increase of body weight in the pandemic. Direct and indirect interrelationships (mediated by computer use) were tested. Structural Equation Modeling was used. 15,379 teachers participated in the study. The prevalence of the increase of body weight was 58%. The increase of body weight in the pandemic was directly influenced by females (β=-0.083), lower income (β=-0.001), younger people (β=-0.002), with greater fear of COVID-19 (β=0.004) and among those who increased computer use (β=0.010). Regardless the indirect effect, the modeling indicate that practicing physical activity (β=0.0015), having higher income (β=0.0002) and greater fear of COVID-19 (β=0.00023), being younger (β=-0.00035) and having a diagnosis of anxiety and depression (β=0.00426), when mediated by computer use, acted on the increase of the body weight. The increase of body weight in the pandemic was prevalent between teachers and was influenced by sociodemographic variables, fear of COVID-19 and increase of time using computer.
