Abstract (en)
This issue of the Campos en Ciencias Sociales journal has been produced in pandemic times. The social and health situation has caught the attention of the media and the scientific world, as it has been the biggest world crisis in the last 80 years. The own journal’s team has been hit hard by COVID-19. John Alexander Idrobo, the guest editor and soul of the 2021 issues, passed away at the end of June, leaving a great void in all of us who knew him.

Este número de la revista Campos en Ciencias Sociales se ha gestado en época de pandemia. La situación social y sanitaria ha acaparado la atención de los medios de comunicación y del mundo científico, ya que se ha tratado de la mayor crisis mundial ocurrida en los últimos 80 años. El propio equipo de la revista se ha visto afectado, con dureza, por la COVID-19. John Alexander Idrobo, editor invitado y alma de los números de 2021, falleció a finales de junio, dejando un gran vacío en todos los que le conocimos.
