Narrating Absence: Historical Memory, Narrative Creation, and Women’s Searches in Cases of Enforced Disappearance of Members of the Security Forces in Colombia

In the course of our research, we are constantly pleasantly surprised. One such surprise has been the work carried out by the Awana Network. A few years ago, the opportunity arose to organize a researchers’ conference; Professor César Ortega and Edna Peñaloza from the School of Advertising at Sergio Arboleda University came together. We were putting this event together with no other intention than to use it to promote the research being conducted within the academic program.

En el proceso de investigación constantemente nos llevamos buenas sorpresas. Una de estas ha sido el trabajo realizado por la Red Awana. Hace algunos años, se abrió la posibilidad en organizar un Encuentro de investigadores; nos reunimos el profesor César Ortega y Edna Peñaloza de la Escuela de Publicidad de la Universidad Sergio Arboleda. Un escenario que estábamos escribiendo sin otra pretensión de utilizarlo para el bien de la difusión de procesos de investigación que se estaban haciendo en el programa académico.
