Motivated strategies for learning Questionnaire – MSLQ SF in university students: analysis of the internal structure
Abstract (en)
The purpose of this research was to analyze the internal structure of the Motivation and Learning Strategies Questionnaire in university students, taking into account reliability analysis and content validity. For this purpose, 258 students from different universities participated in the study, most of whom were women (60.8 %) and who were selected by a non-probability sampling (purposive sampling). Among the main findings, it can be mentioned that a factorial solution of eight dimensions and 37 items in total was proposed, six dimensions correspond to learning strategies and two to motivation. In addition, Cronbach’s alpha was determined for the total of the scale and an index of .883 (good) was obtained; likewise, it was obtained for each of the dimensions.

El propósito de la presente investigación era analizar la estructura interna del Cuestionario de Motivación y Estrategias de Aprendizaje en estudiantes universitarios teniendo en cuenta el análisis de fiabilidad y la validez de contenido. Para ello, se contó con la participación de 258 estudiantes de diferentes universidades, en su mayoría eran mujeres (60,8 %) quienes fueron seleccionados mediante un muestreo no probabilístico intencional. Entre los principales hallazgos se puede mencionar que se propone una solución factorial de ocho dimensiones y 37 ´ítems en total, seis dimensiones corresponden a las estrategias de aprendizaje y dos a motivación. Adicional, se determinó el alfa de Cronbach por el total de la escala y se obtuvo un índice de 0,883 (bueno); asimismo, se obtuvo por cada una de las dimensiones.
