O presente estudo visa investigar a associação dos padrões de estresse pós-traumático e resiliência com a ideação suicida em universitários na pandemia da COVID-19. Este é um estudo caracterizado por abordagem quantitativa, de natureza transversal e delineamento exploratório e descritivo, com dados secundários obtidos em uma pesquisa maior sobre os impactos da COVID-19 na população geral. A amostra foi composta por 682 sujeitos maiores de 18 anos, de gêneros diferentes, universitários. Os dados foram coletados mediante um formulário on-line composto por um questionário sociodemográfico; a escala Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10), a Escala de Impacto do Evento Revisada (IES-R) e o Questionário de Avaliação do Risco de Suicídio. Os dados foram analisados com o uso do software IBM SPSS Statistics 27.0. Foi realizada uma análise de cluster para agrupar os universitários conforme os níveis de resiliência e estresse pós-traumático. Os resultados obtidos indicam que há diferenças significativas (p < 0,05) entre as frequências esperadas e observadas em todas as variáveis comparadas. Em todos os casos as frequências observadas no cluster 1 foram inferiores às esperadas para as respostas que indicam a presença de pensamentos suicidas ou parassuicidas, indicando uma redução significativa na presença desses pensamentos. No cluster 2, em todos os casos as frequências observadas foram superiores às esperadas para as respostas que indicam a presença de pensamentos suicidas ou parassuicidas, indicando um aumento significativo na presença desses pensamentos.

This study aims to investigate the association between post-traumatic stress patterns and resilience with suicidal ideation among university students during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional nature and an exploratory and descriptive design, using secondary data obtained from a broader research project on the impacts of COVID-19 on the general population. The sample consisted of 682 participants over the age of 18, of different genders, all university students. Data were collected through an online form composed of a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10), the Revised Impact of Event Scale (IES-R), and the Suicide Risk Assessment Questionnaire. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 27.0 software. A cluster analysis was conducted to group the students according to their levels of resilience and post-traumatic stress. The results indicate significant differences (p < 0.05) between the expected and observed frequencies across all variables compared. In all cases, the observed frequencies in Cluster 1 were lower than expected for responses indicating the presence of suicidal or parasuicidal thoughts, suggesting a significant reduction in such thoughts. In Cluster 2, the observed frequencies were higher than expected for the same responses, indicating a significant increase in the presence of suicidal or parasuicidal thoughts.

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo investigar la asociación entre los patrones de estrés postraumático y la resiliencia con la ideación suicida en estudiantes universitarios durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Se trata de una investigación de enfoque cuantitativo, de naturaleza transversal y diseño exploratorio y descriptivo, con datos secundarios obtenidos de un estudio más amplio sobre los impactos de la COVID-19 en la población general. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 682 participantes mayores de 18 años, de diferentes géneros, todos universitarios. Los datos se recopilaron mediante un formulario en línea compuesto por un cuestionario sociodemográfico, la Escala de Resiliencia de Connor-Davidson (CD-RISC-10), la Escala de Impacto del Evento Revisada (IES-R) y el Cuestionario de Evaluación del Riesgo de Suicidio. Los datos fueron analizados con el software IBM SPSS Statistics 27.0. Se realizó un análisis de conglomerados para agrupar a los estudiantes según sus niveles de resiliencia y estrés postraumático. Los resultados obtenidos indican diferencias significativas (p < 0,05) entre las frecuencias esperadas y observadas en todas las variables comparadas. En todos los casos, las frecuencias observadas en el clúster 1 fueron inferiores a las esperadas para las respuestas que indican la presencia de pensamientos suicidas o parasuicidas, lo que sugiere una reducción significativa de estos pensamientos. En el clúster 2, las frecuencias observadas fueron superiores a las esperadas para dichas respuestas, lo que indica un aumento significativo en la presencia de pensamientos suicidas o parasuicidas.
