CAPACIDADES Y COMPETENCIAS POR MEDIO DE LAS METODOLOGÍAS STEM/ABP Y SU VINCULACIÓN CON MODELO DE LAS “5E”

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo exponer la vinculación e integración en las áreas de formación de
matemáticas, física, ciencia y tecnología mediante los enfoques metodológicos STEM (Science, Tecnology,
Engineering & Mathematics) y ABP (Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos) en el Colegio Santo Tomás de
Aquino en la dimensión de TECNOMATH, relacionando las dos metodologías con el modelo educativo de las
“5E”, siendo una adaptación importante para el aprendizaje en cuanto a interdisciplinaridad y aplicabilidad.
Para ello es importante realizar un análisis exhaustivo de la malla curricular y lineamiento, buscando integrar
los contenidos en proyectos educativos en cada contexto y de esta manera formar competencias y desarrollar
capacidades a los estudiantes dando relación y coherencia a cada disciplina trabajada con la metodología
STEM. Esta relación de metodologías permitirá a los estudiantes aplicar el conocimiento científico en la
vida real, donde ese conocimiento será adquirido por medio de nosotros como maestros, logrando así educar
personas con alto nivel de liderazgo y competitividad.

Resumen (en)

The objective of this article is to propose the linkage and integration in the areas of Mathematics, Physics,
Science, and Technology training through the STEM and PBL Methodological approaches to Santo Tomás of
Aquinas School in the TECNOMATH dimension, relating the two Methodologies with the educational model
of the “5E”, being an important adaptation for learning in terms of interdisciplinary and applicability. For
this, it’s important to carry out an exhaustive analysis of the curricular meshes and guidelines, seeking to
integrate the contents into educational projects in each context and in this way form competencies and develop
capacities for students, giving relations and coherence to each discipline worked with the STEM methodology.
This relationship of methodologies will allow students to apply scientific knowledge in real life, where that
knowledge will be acquired through us as teachers, thus managing to educate people with a high level of
leadership and competitiveness.
