Abstract (en)

This paper aims at reflecting on the importance of accountability in the decisions made on a daily basis in different organizations based on historical facts, regardless of the period, and on the misuse of accountability. Using accountability correctly, honestly and professionally may generate more benefits than evil to society.

Con el presente escrito se pretende hacer una reflexión sobre la importancia de la contabilidad para las decisiones que se deben tomar en el día a día en las actividades de los diferentes entes, con base en hechos históricos independientemente de la época y la mala utilización que a ella pueda dársele; eso no implica que sea una actividad que pueda no desarrollarse de manera oportuna, con honestidad y profesionalismo, para que nos demos cuenta de que su buen uso genera más beneficios que males a la sociedad en general.
