Gender Stereotypes: Conflict in the Corporate System
Abstract (en)
Nowadays, organisations are looking for a way to promote competitiveness, economic and sustainable development in society, contributing to social justice and making use of good practices in their corporate social responsibility projects. Despite this, few efforts have focused on eliminating gender inequality in the corporate system, and this is one way to achieve the goal. Recognising women as a social component that energises the economy makes it possible to maximise their participation within corporate governance bodies, contributing to gender equity as a winning element that provides value to the organisation and is considered to have a high impact. For this reason, the contribution of this applied business project is to provide companies with a working guide with specific strategies that will allow them to contribute to promoting gender equality, women's participation in the organisation and the recovery of their fundamental rights, in a practical way, optimising resources and making use of the tools currently available in the organisational model. This project proposes actions that, from the perspective of corporate governance, contribute as a possible solution to this problem, including participation in a Female Collaboration Model, Inspiring Girls, which represents another way of eliminating gender stereotypes in the organisation, using volunteer networks.
