Educación secundaria y sus posibles efectos en la calidad de vida en Bogotá (1984-2007)
Abstract (en)
El presente trabajo aborda la educación secundaria en Bogotá en el período 1984-2007, relacionando su comportamiento con respecto a la cobertura, calidad educativa y escolaridad, contra la empleabilidad, tasa de retorno de la educación y desarrollo humano. La política educativa vista a través de las formulaciones de los planes de desarrollo distrital, permite entender algunas tendencias importantes como la supremacía reciente de la educación pública sobre la privada en cuanto a matrícula, retención y promoción, pero también su retraso en materia de calidad. La escolaridad muestra avances importantes en el Distrito Capital, al pasar de 3.5 años en 1984 a 10.3 años promedio en 2007, mientras que la tasa de retorno muestra que la inversión social en educación es rentable, por cuanto cada año de incremento en escolaridad representa incrementos del 0.58% en los ingresos laborales. De igual manera, se encuentra asociación positiva del 0.016% entre la escolaridad y el índice de desarrollo humano.How to Cite
