Estimación del valor económico transferido al municipio de Montelibano por parte de la actividad de una empresa de explotación minera ante un escenario de cierre de actividades de la mina en el 2029
Estimation of the economic value transferred to the municipality of Montelíbano by the activity of a mining exploitation company in the event of closure of activities of the mine in 2029
Abstract (en)
This research work explains how the estimation of the probable economic value that would generate the mining activity in the municipality of Montelíbano by a company dedicated to mining exploitation was made. The results were obtained through Monte Carlo simulations applied to valuation models of the directly affected stakeholders in the urban area of the municipality. The result of the valuation allows comparing the impact of this company in the region in terms of the regional product, which is estimated at 4.1% of the GDP of the department of Córdoba as of 2015. Additionally, this work suggests a methodological instrument to model the possible alternatives the municipality has to maintain its economic performance in view of the eventual closure of the firm in 2029.Abstract (es)
